When Covid-19 shook the hospitality world, Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Bacardi Center of Excellence chose to lead, inspiring students to reimagine the future of their industry.

Bar Project 2021 was a digital competition program for students that included masterclasses and talks with world-class hospitality leaders, along with a series of group challenges. Student teams were tasked with creating innovative bar concepts, and pitched them to a panel of judges. The winning team had the opportunity to bring their concept to life at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Miami Beach, Florida.
