To premiere Blizzard’s next video game extension starring the Lich King, the goal was to create a below-zero ice cream shop in the middle of San Diego’s Comic-con. To achieve this concept, a customized retro storefront was fabricated around a commercial-grade walk in freezer in Petco Park’s parking lot. The interior was set to a brisk 32 degrees and designed to look like the Lich King's frozen lair, complete with nitrogen cooled ice cream and frozen throne photo op with the King himself.
